Microsoft have now teamed up with peripheral maker Mad Catz, to bring a new Xbox 360 headset to the market.
The flimsy headsets originally created for the Xbox live will now be a thing of the past.
Although these new headsets are not quite as discrete and small as the wireless miniature headsets that Microsoft brought out, this new head set is sturdy, stylish, louder, and clearer.
Mad Catz will release the co-branded headsets during the holiday shopping season of this year, donning the Mad Catz TRITTON branding with the 360 logo.
Mad Catz president and CEO, Darren Richardson said, “The headphone category is the fastest growing category in the video game space - and this agreement assists Mad Catz’s TRITTON brand in furthering its leadership to provide high-quality, innovative headphones that allow gamers and audio enthusiasts alike to enjoy a superior gaming and listening experience.”
The range of headsets will offer wireless and wired units, along with a high end set that has Dolby 5.1 surround sound.
The headsets can also be used for the PlayStation 3, the PC and the MAC.
The headset is called the Mad Catz TRITTON AX 720 and is available for £114.99 from Amazon.
