EA Sports plans on adding player stories into FIFA 12 in order to get gamers engrossed fully into the world of football gaming.

FIFA has been looking up ways to improve for the FIFA 12 game for some time now, and FIFA creative director, Gary Paterson, revealed some of these improvements to PSM3 magazine, with the closed transfer window period being a big topic of discussion.

Paterson has revealed that EA are looking closely into the match day atmosphere feature, saying that it was something that FIFA really needed to invest in.

His main comments however were upon the player story feature.

“I think the idea of creating stories throughout the year is something we’re very interested in as well.

“It’s about creating a football world you immerse yourself in, thing like, you know, the Rooney story, when he said he want to leave Man United and then signed a new contract. That’s definitely interesting to us.

“Things to do while the transfer window’s closed is certainly something that we’re looking at.”

EA has not given any official word of a release date for FIFA 12, though rumours abound for the game to land towards the Autumn period.

Paterson also said that FIFA game play was getting harder and harder to improve, which tenses the long, ongoing rivalry between FIFA and Pro Evolution, the longest game rivalry going.
