LG Optimus 3D coming to 3

3 has announced, in roundabout fashion, that it will be carrying the LG Optimus 3D phone.

This comes after yesterday’s revelation from Vodafone that it too would be selling the glasses-free three dimensional display bearing smartphone.

3 initially made a cryptic announcement via Twitter, which simply said: “Something big is coming….”, followed by a link to the Optimus 3D teaser trailer on YouTube.

A Twitter user then asked if the Optimus 3D was indeed going to be stocked by 3, and the network operator replied: “Yes, it’s coming to Three.”

When pressed for a release date by the same punter, 3 tweeted: “No date confirmed yet, will keep everyone updated.”

The LG smartphone comes not only with a 3D display, but a dual-lens camera capable of 3D video recording. It also boasts a dual-core processor, front-facing camera for video chats, plus an HDMI output to hook it up with your TV.

The handset will be revealed at Mobile World Congress later this month.

  1. I feel sorry for Nintendo, I bet they thought they have something unique for longer than a couple of months.

Should of got an exclusivity deal on those displays I reckon,
