Nokia E7 to be released this week

The long wait for the Nokia E7 is almost over, for some countries, anyway.

The smartphone was first announced back in September at Nokia World 2010, when it was expected to arrive before the year was out.

Of course, it didn’t, and has been subject to several delays (a Nokia phone, delayed, can you believe it)? However, it seems that Nokia has finally got its finger out, and the E7 will be released this week – in home country Finland, that is.

A broader launch will follow, C-Net reports, and the handset will be spreading to other countries by the end of the month.

Let’s hope for the sake of those tempted by the business smartphone that the UK happens to be one of those markets. The last we heard, the E7 had potentially been delayed to Q2 for the UK, which could mean a wait until April.

The Nokia E7 boasts a full Qwerty keypad, an 8 megapixel camera (with HD video capture), and a 4 inch AMOLED display with Clear Black technology.
