Those who aren’t impressed with the smaller 7 inch tablets, like the original Galaxy Tab, have something more tempting coming their way from Samsung.
We already knew the Galaxy Tab 2 was going to be shown at Samsung’s MWC presentation on Sunday evening, starting 7.30pm, thanks to a leaked PR plan. But we didn’t have any details on the spec, or indeed whether it would be a 10 inch tablet as speculation had pointed to.
Now Pocket Lint has received confirmation of the Tab 2’s innards from a source who says that it will indeed be a 10 inch model.
The tablet sequel has been built to be thinner than the original, and even lighter too, despite being a bigger size.
A dual-core processor is on board, as is an 8 megapixel camera, and Honeycomb will be running on the slate. Those who held off from the Tab on size issues might well be tempted…
We’ll bring you more news on the Tab 2 after the official presentation this weekend.
