Zen Internet has been awarded Recommended Broadband Provider status by Which? topping the satisfaction tables once again.

Zen’s Recommended Broadband Provider status revealed five stars for reliability and connection speed and four stars for customer service.

Zen has now topped the satisfaction tables at Which? for the last seven years and in March last year was the only ISP to be awarded a Which? Best Buy for broadband.

“With an overall Which? customer score of 88%, Zen truly deserves its Recommended Broadband Provider status. Zen has been among our top broadband performers since 2005, and this time round received top marks (five stars) for connection reliability and speed, falling down only on value for money, for which it got three stars,” said Which?

The survey was based on results of an online survey of nearly 10,000 Which? members with home broadband. The customer satisfaction score (as a percentage) is based on overall satisfaction and their likelihood to recommend the ISP to a friend.

While it might be easy to dismiss the award as PR fluff, as an ex-Zen broadband customer I can also agree the service is excellent, and have always been happy to recommend Zen – it’s just unfortunate that the router that Zen usually recommend to new customers can have interference problems with digital DECT cordless phones.

Aside from that, you do pay a little more for Zen broadband, but support is a helluva better than any other ISP we’ve seen. Essential when you need it – you get what you pay for.
