Sony has taken the wraps off its new Vaio C Series of laptops.
The range of notebooks boasts second-gen Intel Core i5 processors, and on selected models a Blu-ray drive and AMD Radeon 1GB hybrid graphics cards.
Although the first thing you’ll notice about the devices is the neon orange and green colour schemes, with light that radiates through the logo, a backlit keyboard, and even the touchpad is surrounded by a glow.
The laptops are also available in plain black and white for those who aren’t into the whole neon ‘been-left-too-long-in-the-office-at-Sellafield’ look.
Two screen sizes will be available, the CA10 with a 14 inch LED backlit LCD widescreen, and the CB10 with a 15.5 inch display.
One-touch buttons are provided on the C Series to launch the media gallery software, Vaio care, or web access without booting into Windows.
The webcam comes with an Exmor sensor, which the company claims gives the device impressive low-light performance.
Mike Lucas, Senior VP of the Networked Technologies and Services Division at Sony Electronics, commented: “The new Vaio C Series delivers an extraordinary design with new, vivid materials. Combined with premium performance and features, as well as enhanced with Sony Imagination Studio, C Series users can be entertained and show off their creative side.”
If you want one of these bright beauties, then they’ll be out towards the end of next month. The price is expected to weigh in around the £750 mark.
