Angry Birds continues its mobile gaming success story, with a legion of new Android fans chucking avians at pigs.
The free version of the game has now racked up 30 million downloads on Google’s operating system, according to Rovio’s Peter Vesterbacka (via a report on Joystiq).
And it seems that those who pick up the game keep playing it, with 80% of the user base downloading updates for Angry Birds.
Rovio’s classic is set to be ported over to Windows Phone 7 next, after squabbles between the developer and Microsoft have apparently been resolved. A 3D version of the title is also said to be in the works, according to recent comments from Vesterbacka.
