Nintendo 3DS price cut to £187

by Darren Allan

The Nintendo 3DS is now only two weeks away from its UK launch, and another shell has been fired in the handheld price-cutting war.

And this one hasn’t come from the guns of Amazon, which has currently chipped the price of the glasses-free 3D device down to £197 (from its initial RRP of £230).

Amazon has been undercut by a supermarket, and not Tesco, either. According to the Official Nintendo Magazine, it’s Morrisons which has chopped the pre-order price of the 3DS down to £187. To book your pre-order, you’ll need to leave a £10 deposit.

This is the sort of level many were expecting the handheld to pitch in at, and will please those who were disappointed by the initial £230 tags.

We’re guessing another price cut will be on the way from Amazon. The 3DS is out on March 25th, with 13 launch titles including Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, The Sims 3, PES 2011 3D, and LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars.
