T-Mobile to stock Motorola Atrix in the UK

T-Mobile will be selling the Motorola Atrix in the UK, a fact revealed by the appearance of the smartphone on the company’s “coming soon” page.

V3.co.uk spotted the Atrix popping up, and noted that Orange has already said it will carry the handset, with a second quarter release expected.

T-Mobile has the release date down as June. You can currently sign up on the operator’s website to be kept posted about when the Atrix goes on pre-order.

The Motorola Atrix comes with a 4 inch LCD display, 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 16GB of memory, but rather disappointingly only Android 2.2.

However, it does have some innovative features such as desktop and laptop dock accessories. The former allows you to hook the phone up to a monitor, keyboard and mouse. You can then effectively use the Atrix as a desktop via the phone’s WebTop interface, pretty neat.

T-Mobile has also put the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play up on its “coming soon” page, which it says is due in April (last we heard, launch was marked for the final day in March). Also, the HTC Desire S is due to be stocked by T-Mobile in April.

yeah but sprints 4G is slower than HSPA+ (att and tmo’s “4G” and vz’s version is gsm based so they are totally switching network technology, so they cant make up there minds. 2G, 3G,4G, 5G 100G is all just a bunch of marketing jargon in the states. WIMAX is sprints 4G, LTE is VZ, which will also be rolled out by the other gsm carriers. go anywhere else in the
world and the #G terms are rarely used, as mentioned this is marketing jargon to get un-educated American consumers worked up
