Limited edition versions of games usually come with a few extra bits and pieces. An unlock code for a special suit of armour, perhaps, or an exclusive downloadable level.
Maybe a cloth map of the world you adventure in, or a CD of the game’s marvellously cinematic sound track. But Dirt 3 is taking things to a new level, according to a report on MCV.
Yes, the Dirt 3 Limited Edition comes with a Ken Block Gymkhana car. No, not his real 2011 Fiesta which can do 0 to 60 in under 2 seconds, but an officially licensed radio controlled car version of it.
It’s a fancy toy car, too, with proper moulded tyres which are apparently crafted to give an authentic Gymkhana style experience (drifting and sliding all over), and a protective foam bumper (for when you drift and slide smack bang into the curb).
The model has working suspension, adjustable steering and throttle, and all sorts of goodies. The downer is the Limited Edition costs no less than $300 from GameStop.
There’s no word whether the bundle will come out in the UK yet.
