Samsung’s I997 Infuse 4G

by Franz Bicar

Samsung’s I997 Infuse 4G smartphone has just been released. With a 4.5″ Super AMOLED Plus display (same as the Droid Charge), and a 1.2GHz CPU, the Infuse is set to run circles arouond the competition.

The Samsung Infuse is quite a handful. With a large, wide body, the Infuse is something you don’t carry aroung in your pocket - but mind you, the quality and build is amazing. There aren’t many phones from Samsung that does not feel cheap. Most of their phones are designed using clunky and cheap-looking plastic. On the bright side, it has a very slim 8.9mm waistline.

An advantage with its wide screen, of course, is that it is a great web browsing device. Fans of mobile gaming will surely find the Infuse a joy to play with. Numerous angry bird fans will surely be pleased with the preloaded version of Angry Birds in the Samsung I997 Infuse.

After releasing the Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II just recently, here comes Samsung with another winner.

The only gripe for the Infuse is that it comes in with the Android Froyo OS. They could have done better with Gingerbread, not sure why Samsung opted for this.

Other features include the Super AMOLED Plus screen, which makse colors pop out. It has incredible black levels, and deep, rich colors. Rounding it up, you have an 8-megapixel rear-facing and 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera.

The Infuse does cost quite a bit at $200. But a snappy, internet-centric phone is great for business and people always on the go.
