Sony has finally got the PlayStation Store back online, six weeks after the hacking incident which caused the company to take down PSN.

However, the Welcome Back freebie offer to compensate PS3 owners for the downtime hasn’t gone live yet.

Sony wrote on its blog page: “You may have noticed that the content promised as part of the Welcome Back offer is not yet live. It is currently in the final stages of testing and will be available to download very soon; we’ll be sure to let you know when.”

The spring offers which were running in April when the network was downed are still going to be offered until June 8th, to give those who missed them a chance to procure them now.

Sony also announced that PlayStation Plus customers who were members before the outage will have an extra 70 days added to their current subscription in lieu of the time lost.

That extra time might not be showing on your account now, but should do before the end of the week.
