HTC ChaCha on sale, has received processor upgrade

Interestingly the HTC ChaCha has had its processor souped up as it hit UK shelves.

The smartphone was originally due to arrive with 600MHz under the bonnet, but that was deemed a bit lightweight evidently, as it has been pepped up to 800MHz, somewhat closer to the standard 1GHz many mobiles carry these days.

Clove spotted this fact and now has the mobile on sale, pitching it at £252, which is more like the price we expected as opposed to Phones4u who first had it up for sale on Friday at £300 PAYG.

The ChaCha has a compact 2.6 inch display with a full Qwerty keyboard nestled beneath it, and a dedicated Facebook button with an emphasis on social networking. It also carries a 5 megapixel camera, A-GPS, bluetooth and wi-fi, with Android 2.3 on board.

If a contract deal is your preferred poison, then tariffs start from £20 per month on Vodafone with the handset free.
