Channel 4 to stream T4 on the Beach live on Facebook

It’s trendy to stream stuff live on Facebook, these days, don’t you know? It’s happening. And cool. And everything Channel 4 wants to be (but probably isn’t).

We watched Mark Zuckerberg unveil Skype chat on his social network live earlier this week, and now Channel 4 is hopping on the social video streaming bandwagon, with live coverage of the T4 on the Beach festival this weekend.

The live stream will begin on T4′s Facebook page at 11:45 Sunday morning, running through until 17:45.

Coverage of the bands will be provided through a numnber of cameras on site, along with backstage access, interviews with the stars and other stuff only those with a VIP pass will get at the actual event itself.

All you’ve got to do is turn up to the T4 Facebook page and click the Like button to get access to the live stream. We tried clicking the Like button, we really did, but couldn’t quite manage it.

Those of sturdier resolution than us will get to see a number of acts play at Weston-Super-Mare, along with a number of donkeys, probably (the two are definitely not to be confused).

Bands include Scouting For Girls, Hard-Fi, Sugababes, JLS, Example, The Wanted, N-Dubz, Chipmunk and Lawnmower Deth. (Guess which one of those isn’t really playing… but it’s a nice image).

Currently the T4 pages has almost 25,000 fans liking it, liking it, liking it…
