The developer of the forthcoming video game Resistance 3 has released details regarding the public beta.
Insomniac Games has announced that the multiplayer trial period will begin on August 4th in the US, and August 10th in the UK.
In the UK and European regions the priority for beta testers will go to PlayStation Plus subscribers, who will be able to download the relevant software for the beta from the PS Store’s PS Plus section from the above date.
No further details were given in relation to non-subscribers, except that they would have to wait for further opportunities.
In the US the rules are slightly different; those who purchased specially marked packages of SOCOM 4 will receive early access to the public beta, by way of the redeemable code they have on the PS Store.
PS Plus subscribers in the US will have to wait until August 23rd before they can get a taste of the forthcoming first-person-shooter.
Insomniac also gave information as to what beta testers could expect from their experience: “The Resistance 3 Beta includes two of our major maps in the game, the Seaside of Glamorgan, Wales, as well as a Trainyard in Bogota, Colombia.”
