Some HTC Holiday snaps have been leaked out onto the internet.
But we don’t mean photos of the board execs sunning themselves poolside, thankfully, rather the next model of smartphone which is apparently going to be named the HTC Holiday.
Engadget spotted the pics which show a large screen device that unfortunately hasn’t been very well cared for by its owner, sporting some monster cracks across the display. Allegedly this is the Holiday.
Anticipated specs (which were leaked back in May) are a 1.2GHz dual-core processor for some real oomph (and probably some real battery drain, too), plus twin cameras front and back (the main one being an 8 megapixel snapper). The device is an Android handset with Gingerbread on board.
That large display is actually a 4.5 inch affair with a 960 x 540 display, and although these specs aren’t confirmed, you can certainly see there’s a good deal of screen real estate there.
It seems this phone will be out in the US on AT&T, although whether it’ll wing its way across to Europe is uncertain.
The smartphone isn’t hugely different to the Sensation, mind, boasting a fairly similar spec with just a slightly bigger screen (the Sensation’s is a 4.3 incher). Unless the Holiday’s leaked tech spec is wrong, of course.
We guess we’ll hear something official from HTC soon enough. And maybe the follow-up phone will be a more compact, pocket-sized model: The HTC Bank Holiday. Why not, it’s still a better moniker than ChaCha or Salsa.
