The multiplayer beta version of the latest title in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Revelations, has been released on the PSN.

Ubisoft has announced that members of PlayStation Plus and Uplay will exclusively be able to download the beta, but will be unable to play the game until tomorrow (September 3rd).

The beta period will run for just over a week and Ubisoft is hoping to use the time to increase awareness of the forthcoming game.

Also, it’s obviously a good way to give the game a run out and remove any potential flaws and bugs which may still be kicking around.

The online doors will open from 10am tomorrow and will close again on September 11th sometime in the evening, although an actual time hasn’t been confirmed.

Nine characters from the critically acclaimed series will be available for users to play around with, including The Sentinel, The Vanguard, The Guardian, The Vizier, The Thespian, The Deacon, The Bombardier, The Trickster and The Champion.

These characters will be given the chance to roam around three different maps – Knight’s Hospital, Antioch and Constantinople – in four different games modes – Wanted, Manhunt, Deathmatch and Artifact Assault.

The full game will be released on November 15th.
