Battlefield 3 has retained the number one spot in this week’s all-format game chart compiled by Chart Track.

BF3’s sales might have halved, but it still held off the challenge from Uncharted 3, which had to settle for the number two spot. Of course, it’s a single format game (on the PS3), so has a much smaller target audience.

Uncharted 3 sold 37% more than its predecessor, and Battlefield 3 has also sold far more than all the other games in the series, becoming the first Battlefield game to hold the top spot for two weeks running.

FIFA 12 is still at number three and selling consistently, followed by Batman: Arkham City which slipped to number four and isn’t selling quite as well as we expected. It was launched amongst considerable competition, mind you.

Just Dance 3 was another non-mover (ironically) at number five, ahead of Football Manager 2012 and Forza 4.

The number eight position was occupied by Zumba Fitness, followed by Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure and then another new entry, Sonic Generations at number ten.

The only other new entry in the top twenty was the reboot Goldeneye: Reloaded which only managed number sixteen upon launch.

Given that this week sees the launch of Modern Warfare 3 (today) and Skyrim (on Friday), there are no prizes for guessing what next week’s number one and two will be, doubtless followed by Battlefield 3 and FIFA 12.
