The last UK all-format game chart of 2011 saw FIFA 12 in the number one spot.

It’s the second year on the trot that EA’s football game has managed to top the chart at the close of the year. And it’s the fourth time FIFA 12 has been number one, equalling Modern Warfare 3’s four weeks at the top in 2011.

However, the game at the top of the chart for the longest in 2011 was Zumba Fitness, which managed a rather incredible thirteen weeks at number one (ten of those were consecutive, too).

That’s a quarter of the year – although that long ten week run at the top was in the summer dry season for games.

Things are a lot more competitive in the autumn and run up to Christmas, obviously.

Back to this week’s chart, and the number two title behind FIFA 12 was Modern Warfare 3, followed by Battlefield 3 and then another three-quel, Just Dance 3.

Assassin’s Creed: Revelations was at number five, ahead of Saints Row: The Third and Need for Speed: The Run.

After a good run of sales and holding the Xmas number one spot, Skyrim’s numbers halved this week to see the RPG plunge to number eight.

The top ten was rounded off by two racing games, Mario Kart 7 and Forza 4. Unsurprisingly, there were no new entries to the chart this week.
