FIFA 12 has held at the top of the UK all-format game chart once again this week, making it six consecutive weeks at number one now.
It held level in terms of sales, but was given a close run by Modern Warfare 3 which saw a boost in sales last week.
The Call of Duty title was up 8% in terms of units shifted, which pushed it back up to number two, but wasn’t quite enough to score against FIFA.
Skyrim found itself nudged down a place to number three, with Just Dance 3 also dropping a spot to number four.
Ubisoft’s dance game was followed by Battlefield 3, and then a new entry at number six, Resident Evil: Revelations. That sold pretty well considering it’s single format (3DS) only.
In fact, Revelations is the first major new release this year, and the first release to make it into the top ten – indeed the top forty – as a new entry.
The end of this week, however, sees the release of Final Fantasy XIII-2 and SoulCalibur V, which are both bound to make an impact on the top ten in the next chart.
The January fitness bug still has mileage, with Zumba Fitness at number seven and its sequel at number ten.
Saints Row: The Third dropped to number eight, with Assassin’s Creed: Revelations popping back into the top ten at number nine thanks to price promos.
There was another new entry into the top forty as well, The Sims 3: Master Suite Stuff expansion which debuted at number twenty-three.
