Lego Batman 2

There’s a new number one in the UK all-format game chart, as compiled by Chart Track, this week – and that’s the latest Lego game.

Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is the new chart topper, and has done what Lego Batman, the original game, failed to do back in 2008 (it only debuted at number two).

FIFA 12 is behind it at number two, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier slips to number three – in turn pushing down Max Payne 3 to number four.

Battlefield 3 found itself at number five, helped on by a new premium release of the game, and there was another new entry at number six – Lollipop Chainsaw. Skyrim also saw a resurgence of sales, ahead of a DLC release this week, and found itself at number eight.

Sniper Elite V2 slipped down to number nine, and FIFA Street crept back up to number ten, with the Euro 2012 tourney still stoking some football fever.

Civilisation V: Gods and Kings was another new entry this week, although it didn’t make the top ten, falling short at number sixteen.

Of course, as we now move further into the summer dry season, big name games will be coming more slowly. There is the Spiderman game due out at the end of this week, though, which will likely make a solid impact on next week’s chart.
