Lego Batman 2 has managed to hold on to the number one spot in the UK all format game chart, making it four weeks in a row at the top for the blocky, superhero themed game.
That means it has pulled level with FIFA 12 in terms of the longest time spent at the top of the chart in 2012.
Dead Island Game of the Year Edition has moved up a place to number four, despite slipping slightly in sales to the tune of 15 per cent.
Price promotions have once again had an impact on the top ten, with discounting boosting Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier back up the chart from number nine to five.
Another shooter, Modern Warfare 3, is also on the rise, with the huge selling game back up to number six. It’s followed by Skyrim, which has been pushed down to number seven, and after that it’s FIFA 12, which is still alive and kicking in the top ten.
At this rate, it’ll still be there by the time FIFA 13 comes around…
At number nine is Spec Ops: The Line, which slipped a long way from number four. Finally, Mario & Sonic London 2012 Olympic Games makes a return to the top ten, at number ten, ahead of the Olympics. Doubtless it’ll be going further up the chart next week.
Namco Bandai’s Inversion was a new release this week, but disappointingly failed to make the top forty, limping in at number fifty in fact.
