That’s a day before it was supposed to go on sale – but there’s a catch, unfortunately, in that you’ll have to be in the right area of the country to get your Note 2 before the weekend is out.
Mainly because Samsung is only selling the Note 2 on Sunday in its flagship store, Westfield Stratford City (in London).
If you can get your wallet down there after midday, you’ll be able to bag a Note 2, while the rest of us will have to wait until Monday morning (so says the Inquirer).
Simon Stanford, VP of telecommunications and networks at Samsung UK, told the Inquirer: “We’ve had a great response to this new device since first announcing it at IFA last month, so wanted to do something a bit special for it around launch day.”
The Note 2 comes with a still-larger screen, a palm-stretching 5.5 inch affair (0.2 inches bigger than the original Note, which, if you’ve seen it in person, is pretty darn large looking).
There’s an 8-megapixel camera on board, which can handle 1080p video, and a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera. The CPU is a beefy 1.4GHz quad-core affair, and the phone will come in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB flavours.
