YouView, the much delayed digital TV service, has finally been priced up by TalkTalk in a triple play package.
So how much does it cost? You can get your phone, broadband and YouView TV with TalkTalk for £24 per month.
That breaks down to £14.50 per month for the TV service, and £9.50 for your phone line rental and broadband – although there is also a one-off installation fee of £50.
Mind you, TalkTalk provides a £299 YouView box with the package, with a hard disk big enough to fit in excess of 200 hours of recorded programmes.
YouView works via your TV aerial, for access to 74 Freeview channels, and your Internet connection for access to a range of catch-up online TV services – such as the iPlayer, 4oD, ITV Player and so forth. You’ll need a broadband connection which can hit 3Mbps, though – and 5Mbps if you wish to utilise the likes of Sky Movies “boosts” (one-off slabs of “premium” content from the UK and US) which TalkTalk is offering.
If you’re interested, you can find out more, and indeed sign up for the service at TalkTalk’s website.
