With a 4 inch touchscreen and 4GB of storage

October 23, 2012

Nokia has announced a new budget Windows Phone 8 handset, the Lumia 510.

The Finnish company notes that unlike many cheap smartphones, the Lumia 510 comes with a sizeable display, in fact a 4 inch 800 x 480 touchscreen.

This is a Windows Phone 7.5 device, as you might expect, and runs an 800MHz Snapdragon S1 processor. It comes with 4GB of storage, and a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus.

Wi-Fi, bluetooth and GPS are on board the phone, which has a talk time rated at up to 8 hours.

Naturally, Nokia Maps, Drive and Transport are all on board, too.

The UK release date isn’t available, and neither is pricing, and in fact the phone is only scheduled to appear in India, China, South America and Asia initially. To give you some idea on price, the Lumia 510 is going to cost the equivalent of $199 where it’s on sale.
