Dark Souls was famous for being rock-hard when the original game emerged on the consoles a year ago.
The Prepare to Die Edition was later unleashed on the PC, and Namco has now made this expanded version available for console players to get their (soon to be gnashing) teeth into.
If you’ve already purchased Dark Souls, you can get the expanded content via a piece of DLC, the Artorias of the Abyss, which came out a couple of days ago.
The new content includes fresh monsters and bosses, the obligatory treasure trove of new loot, and an online matchmaking driven PvP (player vs. player) arena.
In a press release, Namco noted: “Darkness born in the forests of Oolacile is expanding and engulfing the kingdom and all of its people. Only the strongest players will be able to stop the encroaching darkness. Dark Souls: Artorias of the Abyss includes an online match-making feature allowing console gamers to showcase their skills against other Dark Souls players around the world.”
You can pick up the Xbox or PS3 Prepare to Die Edition for £23 at Amazon.
