Ice Cream Sandwich is now on one in four Android devices, although of course it isn’t the latest flavour of Android now, with Jelly Bean having taken its place.

However, Jelly Bean’s adoption level is only at 2.7 per cent as of the end of October, according to the latest information released at the Android developer site.

Ice Cream Sandwich has reached slightly more than a quarter of devices at 25.8 per cent.

Honeycomb is only on 1.8 per cent of devices now, but Gingerbread is where the majority of Android owners live, with 54.2 per cent snacking on that particular OS dessert.

12 per cent are still on Froyo, and believe it or not, 3.1 per cent still on Éclair (presumably with very old phones). 0.3 per cent are still using Donut, and a small amount, 0.1 per cent, are living with Cupcake even though it’s 2012.
