Dead Island: Riptide still number one

Tomb Raider and FIFA 13 move upwards

Zombies are proving ever popular, with Deep Silver’s sequel Dead Island: Riptide holding onto the top spot in the UK all-format game chart for a second week in a row.

Injustice: Gods Among Us was also a non-mover at number two behind it.

Tomb Raider made a move back into the top three, shifting up two places from number five.

And FIFA 13 was another upwardly mobile game, pushing up to number four as the football season comes to a close. Let’s see if it can hold on in the top ten throughout the summer off-season, and become the first video game ever to stay in the top ten until its next incarnation is released in the autumn.

That would be an impressive achievement indeed.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen saw sales drop by 40 per cent, and was down to number five, followed by Black Ops II and then Bioshock Infinite.

Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins on the 3DS was stationary at number eight, and the top ten was rounded off by Luigi’s Mansion 2 and Star Trek, the latter of which slid six places this week.

There was only one new entry in the chart, and Soul Sacrifice on the PS Vita didn’t come anywhere near the top ten, only managing to enter at number twenty-six.
