Sorry, my bad wording, some of the new phones aren't compatible with 3's version of Skype, we were going to get a Sony but it isn't. You can put Skype on them but if you use the version available to download from the net or from Market it uses any internet allowance that comes with your deal. The iphone is another non compatible phone. We use it a lot as the PAYG phones will work on Skype even with no credit so we can make 1000s of 'free' calls between us.

Hi

After deliberating and looking at phone after phone and getting confused have given in after quite a few calls from 3 and accepted htc wildfire and only cos it seems like a good deal. Even then the guy was insistent that I have look and if I dont like it can send back within 14 days providing I havent made any calls from it or gone on net.

What do other people think is it a good deal.

One Plan: 2000 xover minutes
5000 Texts
5000 3 to 3 minutes
Unlimited internet

2Gb card, bluetooth headset, and 24 mth warranty.

The above on a 24 mth contract at 25pm all in.

Originally they were trying to get on the one plan at 40pm for a samsung galaxy s2 or the nokia E7 but that is just too much per month for me.

Thought about getting htc desire on fleabay but they going for about 300 so wasnt sure about it and was thinking about getting wildfire from fleabay for just over 100 when I got that call from 3 to which Ive agreed to but if not happy will send back.

Regards

you should have asked for a Samsung Galaxy S 2 mate.. its a far better phone then the desire HD.

I am using the desire HD currently and have had it for 3 months now... Battery life on this phone is no good however what do you expect with these kind of phones, they all have a poor battery life.. loll

The phone doesn't have enough RAM either so when you have too many apps running your RAM is killed and the phone will lag big time.. Mine is rooted so it seems much smoother. The original firmware had too much bloatware and it was killing my RAM.

S2 has a dual core processor and runs on a gingerbread with 1GB RAM. You can get the gingerbread on a Desire HD if you look on the XDA developers site.

P.S: E bay sell a Universal Charger with 2 extra Batteries straight from Hongkong. I use it @ the moment and having to worry about my battery life is no longer a worry but after having extra batteries life became so much easier.

Friend of mine has a S2 galaxy and he also bought the universal charger however he got 3 batteries with it.

Hi

Would have loved to get the samsung galaxy s2 but they wanted 40 per month for it which is just too much for me. Never know I might just pick the phone up again and see if this can be sent back as I havent used it yet.

Regards

The HTC Desire HD is fine - certainly better than the sensation - one of the best smartphones, allegedly, though I have nothing to compare it to.
