Question How do I get UK satellite tv (FTA) in Canada?

Hi:
I have been trying to research UK satellite reception in Canada for a while. Sadly here there is little expertise as most sat stuff is pre-packaged unlike the UK. It also is limited in content being mostly US content which as a Brit I am not interested in, besides I can get that with an aerial.
Can anyone help get me pointed in the right direction?

Thanks

I believe the UK SKY satellite is located at Astra 28.2e.

If you can adjust your dish to that, I'm sure you can pick up UK FTA.

The ASTRA birds will be well below the horizon in Canada and therefore the signal will not be available even with a dish the size of a football field.

Does it not depend on where I am in Canada? For example Newfoundland isn't that far to Ireland compared to say Saskatchewan.

Look at SatStar.net. Click on beamfinder.Enter your location.Dish size.
It will then tell you the satellites that you can receive. The usual
answer to your problem is the slingbox.on the internet.but I do not know how that works.
