Default Vonets VAP11g WiFi Bridge Problem

I have been using the Vonets Wi Fi Bridge to stream to my smart TV. I have recently upgraded to FTTC broadband and typically get download speeds of 35 to 37 Mbps on my desktop and similar on my laptop, using the home wi-fi net. However I have now found that when I try to stream BBC iPlayer and similar programs to my smart TV I get extensive buffering, indicating that the speed of the link is too slow. (Previously it worked OK). It clearly is not a problem with the home network, as I get very good download speeds on my laptop (in the same room as the TV). Although the Vonets bridgee still works it seems unable to provide a suitable speed to view a program without extensive buffering. Has anyone any ideas?
