Default Granny Flats: Any info please?

Hi guys, anyone here whos built or had a granny flat built in their property? Ive had a one bedroom flat built over a week ago and my old man is moving in it next week. Were still working on the finishing touches and adding some furnishings in it. My father does not really need a lot of stuff but what he does require is an internet connection. My father is more techy than I am (hes even got Facebook! LOL). Id like to know how I can get an internet connection set up into his unit. Weve got Wi-Fi but unfortunately it does not reach his unit. Any help on this would be welcomed! Thanks!

Run a long cat5 cable from your router to his place or, depending on how your electrics are wired to his, you might be able to use Home Plugs...

What about homeplugs/network adaptors? Do the electrics to the granny flat feed back to your comsumer unit?
