It says 'any capacity' so yes, you should be able to upgrade at will

Question Re: Technical Specifications

I've read on some of the Dreambox sales sites that the DM600pvr has dual tuners. Is that true? Can you watch one channel while recording another? Is this unit capable of "time shifting" (pause and continue live tv)? Thanks in advance,
Joe

There is a problem if you want to use Phoenix card reader from rs232, simply not working... i've heard of a bug in enigma or intentionaly removed. On the other hand why we need modem port???!

This same problem is with DM500+ and now along with new DM600pvr, both have disabled rs232 for phoenix use and both have modem port.

In times of common DSL use, who would need modem port anyway? Maybe somebody knows something more, differently?

Hi Joe, Sorry but it has only one tuner, the only twin tuner Dreambox, at the moment, is the 7025. If you can wait for the new 8000HDPVR and have deep pockets, then I would advise you to do so. if you are after time shift, twin tuners and HDD. It has been reported that the 8000 will cost in the region of 800, which even a dreamer like myself thinks is way too much.

Very best regards Wez

The port is used for installing an image in the box, not for what you seem to think it is used for.
Hope this helps you.

Very best regards Wez
