Hi with my install getting closer and closer ive been on the hunt for a duel c band lnb that covers the extended band, after a hour or so on google i found one that covers the frequencies worth looking at, i wasn't expecting it to be cheap and it isn't even going direct to the manufacture,

Anyhow its out of my price range but it might be of use to others, i do know of one DXer who likes his toys it would be nice to see some reports from this lnb in the future.

When I order stock from China, the slowest part of the delivery is in the EU. From dispatch at the China warehouse to arrival in EU is usually 36 Hours, then another 48 Hours to get here.

Thank you Ian i haven't bought much from overseas before the supplier said i might have to pay some tax once it gets here, trouble with the USA is shipping prices, postage is nearly the same amount as the LNB but its something i need for your old dish and i don't mind spending on it.

If you have online tracking from the courier, check on their site as sometimes they do display if you have duty to pay. If it's Parcelforce, then they write to you by 2nd class post asking for the duty before they will deliver. DHL and some others do it all online

I spoke to Parcelforce today the unit is being sent to my local depot with duty to pay on it just short of £32, as soon as it arrives i can go and pick it up and pay the duty.

They are a pain Martin & about 10 years behind all the other decent couriers re: performance. I dread it when i see that the seller is using them lol.

Thank you j, i only realised it was you a few days ago if i would have known before you would have been my first port of call for advice, i know you've had a some experience buying from over the pond with your kit, the last thing i bought from the USA was the ASC1 controller and Brian sent it via Global shipping all duty was paid at checkout and straight to my door.

I see your dealing with the Aussies as well - iv'e had a few things from Gary at AV-Comm and they have been great.
I quite fancied one of those full range Philtech Extended C-band lnb's but the shipping /courier method frightened me off a bit - if it was a simple Paypal button press i would have been in there lol.

Thanks J yes i think i was around as Blademedia at the time, ive seen philtech advertise on Alababa Com, Alababa Com Suppliers and Manufacturers at Alibaba.com whether paypal is a option there i am unsure i will try and find you a link shortly, that's a nice lnb pal out of my price range but a nice all in one solution i wonder if feedsat is tempted as well.

Ta for the link, yeah it's good 'ol Charlie again at Philtech. I think i tried this route as well Mart and it was the same non simple shipping route. Worth another look into though.
I think Feedsat's sorted and using a SMW jobby that's quite a lot more money than the Philtech.
My Norsat 8000RI extended is not bad for the money but only goes down to 3.6 GHz instead of 3.4 GHz

I did spot three J two that's mentioned and i think it was VSAT Component: C-Band LNA/LNB | Products Information | New Japan Radio - Microwave Components but not 100% sure have a look anyhow pal they was all too expensive for me so i am going down the cheaper route and two feedhorns.
