Just been clearing out my stock room and I have some surplus stock. I have some Humax Freesat HD boxes, all brand new and never used. I expect they will need a software update but should still work OK. If anyone wants one, they are free to collect from Lincoln or I can deliver if you pay for S&H. They are over 2KG, so too heavy for the cheapest postage.
I have also found some Technomate TM5200/5400 and even a couple of Skybox F6, all available on the same terms.
Stick them on eBay Ian they should sell. Humax Freesat HD boxes | eBay technomate 5400 | eBay technomate 5200 | eBay
I'm not allowed to sell on ebay unless I can provide a printed invoice with serial numbers! I've had many problems with ebay, I believe that their "Power Sellers" have complained that I was selling cheaper than them. Ebay claimed to have received a court order from Sky saying that the FTA boxes I was selling were illegally modified to receive Sky channels without paying. This was not the case. Ebay refused to tell me what court made the order, who was the complainant or who was the solicitor involved, they claimed it was "Privileged". They only gave me an e-mail address with an autoresponder saying I had breached Sky's copyright. Other "Power Sellers" were advertising the same product with an Identical description and had sold 1000's, so clearly it was nothing to do with Sky. After many complaints, they gave me fake e-mail addresses which were @sky.it and not Sky UK. They then sent the notification that for anything I list in future, I must supply a purchase Invoice with serial numbers, even if it's something used or very old.
If you mean the Humax, then it's over the 2KG postal limit. With Courier delivery it works out as around £10
E bay have double standards, i dabble a bit in building power amplifiers and most of the electronic components especially capacitors and op amps are fake on there, anything from china is obviously fake, and even the uk sellers are doing it selling rubicon and panasonic /chemi con caps at prices so low you know they cant be real, the same with lithium batteries taken from used lap top power supplies and re-labled as new anything with fire in it's name is a clue, trustfire etc, i would rather pay a bit more from farnell etc for genuine parts and be less likely to set fire to my house !
